The court assigns the parties to Judge Greenaway for trial. The parties are advised of alternative dispute resolution options. DirecTV’s complaint alleges three claims for relief, based on 47 U.S.C. § 605, 18 U.S.C. § 2511, and 28 U.S.C. § 2512, respectively. The defendants joined in this lawsuit are New Jersey residents accused of purchasing different devices, at different times, from either of two retailers: either “DSS-Stuff” or “Shutt, Inc.” DirecTV claims mere possession of devices is illegal and bases all claims of interception on evidence of possession.
