DirecTV seeks relief for defendants’ possession and/or use of devices purchased from “Whiteviper Technologies.” DirecTV accuses defendants of violating 47 U.S.C. § 605 by receiving and/or assisting others in receiving DirecTV’s satellite transmissions. DirecTV claims defendants also intentionally intercepted or endeavored to intercept DirecTV, amounting to a violation of 18 U.S.C. §2511. DirecTV’s third claim is that defendants violated 18 U.S.C. § 2512 by possessing, manufacturing, manipulating, or assembling a device that is primarily useful for the surreptitious interception of satellite signals.
